ISSUE 24 - The Pullback Before Expansion

There’s something I’ve started to notice every time my life begins to expand.  Every time new opportunities open.  Every time the vision starts to become real.  Every time I step closer to the version of me I’ve been building toward… There’s a moment where everything inside of me tightens.  Not because it’s wrong, but because it’s new.  This week was a reflection of both.

My first collaboration with Kai for our Earth Day beach cleanup… Watching people come together, not just to walk, but to connect, to be present, to feel something… It was one of those moments where you realize: This isn’t just an idea anymore.  This is becoming real.

And what I’ve been building with T-flection… what I’ve been feeling… what I’ve been trusting… is starting to take shape through people.  Because community isn’t just people in a room.  It’s energy, it’s an exchange, it’s magnetism.  It’s the moment when you look around and realize that something invisible is connecting everyone there.  Different backgrounds.  Different stories.  Different stages of life.  All finding themselves in the same space… not by accident, but by alignment.  And when that kind of energy is present, everything feels alive.  Because it is.  You’re not just surrounded by people.  You’re surrounded by reflection, perspective, expansion.  This is how growth happens.  This is how we evolve.

But here’s the part that doesn’t get talked about enough: As everything begins to expand externally… something internally can start to resist.  I call it the pullback effect.  It’s the moment where your nervous system steps in and says: “This is unfamiliar.”  “This is bigger than what we’ve held before.”  “Are we safe here?”  And suddenly… what you’ve been asking for starts to feel overwhelming.  Not because you’re not aligned.  But because your body is catching up to your expansion.

I’ve felt that this week.  The excitement, the clarity, the alignment.  And also… The tightness in my chest. The moments of overwhelm.  The subtle pull to retreat.  And instead of seeing that as something going wrong… I’m starting to see it for what it actually is: Capacity being stretched.

Because you don’t just manifest a bigger life.  You have to become someone who can hold it.  And that doesn’t happen in your mind.  It happens in your body.  This is why movement has been everything for me this week.  Not as a routine.  Not as something to check off.  But as regulation.  As integration.  As a way to show my body: “We are safe in this next level.”  Every walk.  Every breath.  Every intentional step.  I’ve been moving like the person I’m becoming, not the one who needs to shrink back into what’s familiar.

Because the truth is: Your life doesn’t expand at the speed of your goals.  It expands at the speed of your nervous system’s ability to feel safe receiving it.  And when you stay in it, when you don’t run from the discomfort, when you don’t collapse in the overwhelm, when you keep moving with it instead of against it… something shifts.  Clarity returns.  Energy opens. And what once felt overwhelming… starts to feel normal.  So if you’re in a season where everything is opening… and at the same time something inside of you feels tight, uncertain, or overwhelmed… You’re not out of alignment.  You’re expanding.  Move with it.  Not away from it.

Regulate your body.
Move your energy.
Expand your life.
