ISSUE 19 - Before It Reflects Back

This week, it was just me. There’s a part of the process no one really talks about.  The part where nothing on the outside looks like it’s working yet… but something inside of you knows it is.  This week, it was just me at walk club.  No crowd.  No energy to feed off of.  No external validation telling me to keep going.  Just me… and a decision.  And if I’m being honest, these are the moments that matter the most.

Because this is where the shift actually happens.  Not when it’s full.  Not when it’s visible.  Not when your reality finally reflects back what you’ve been building.  But before all of that.  Because even when it looks like nothing is happening… there is so much happening.  Conversations, energy shifts, people watching, opportunities quietly forming, things you can’t measure.  Things you can’t prove yet, but you can feel them.

And that’s the part you have to learn to trust.  Because not everything shows up as likes, job opportunities, relationships, or immediate validation.  Some of it shows up as a feeling, a pull.  A quiet knowing that something is aligning… even if you can’t see it yet.  I’ve been coming back to the pillars in a deeper way lately, movement, nature, regulation, reflection… Not as something I teach, but as something I live and embody.  Not forcing anything, not gripping the outcome.  Just… returning.  Because the truth is, you don’t create your next level by forcing it into existence.  You create it by becoming the version of you who naturally lives there.

There’s a difference between action that comes from pressure… and action that comes from alignment.  Pressure asks: “Is this working yet?”  Alignment says: “This is who I am now.”  And this is where it gets uncomfortable.  Because the quiet doesn’t always feel peaceful.  Sometimes… it feels like the unknown.  And your nervous system will try to pull you back to what’s familiar, not because it’s right for you… but because it feels safe.

This is where most people go back.  Back to old habits, old patterns, old ways of living.  Because the pause… the stillness… forces you to sit with what’s changing.  And your body doesn’t always recognize growth as safe at first.  But the quiet isn’t something to escape.  It’s something to use.  We mistake the quiet as waiting… when it’s actually an invitation.  An invitation to look back and notice what is no longer aligned.  Because while things are unfolding for your future… in ways you can’t yet see, the quiet gives you space to reflect.  To clear, to release the patterns, the habits, the nervous system responses that can’t come with you where you’re going.

There is never really a moment of waiting.  You are always in motion.  You are either expanding into your future self… or releasing what no longer belongs to your past.  And in between those two… there’s this moment.  Presence.  Where you can actually feel yourself changing.  Because you’re not who you were yesterday.  And you’re not yet who you’re becoming tomorrow.  But right here… you’re in it.  And if you allow yourself to… you can actually enjoy that.  Because this is a relationship, with yourself, with your soul, with God… or the universe… or source.  And real alignment doesn’t come from constant proof.  It comes from being brave enough to stay in the energy of where you’re going… without needing your current reality to confirm it.  That’s where the real unfolding happens.  Behind the scenes.  Beneath the surface.  In ways you don’t get to see right away.

So this week wasn’t about turnout, it wasn’t about numbers, it wasn’t about proof… it was about integrity.  Showing up in the energy I know my life is expanding into, even when it was just me.  Because eventually… it reflects back.  It always does.

But the real work?  It’s learning to stay, to trust, to keep showing up, to let it be enough that you know… even if no one else sees it yet.  Right before things expand… they get quiet.
